What is the best time to send an SMS campaign?
Anyone promising you one universally best moment is guessing. What is certain is which moments are plainly wrong.
What is certainly wrong
Before eight in the morning and after nine at night. An SMS makes a sound, at night too, and a commercial message at the wrong hour produces opt-outs rather than sales. Sunday morning rarely works.
What usually works
For consumers: late morning or early evening. For business recipients: during office hours, and preferably not on Monday morning or Friday afternoon.
Why your own figures come first
A dental practice, a night shop and a construction firm each have a different audience with a different rhythm. Send a few campaigns at different times and compare what happened after the click. That is the only answer that is about your recipients.
The exception
For transactional messages the time does not matter: you send them when the event happens. A shipping notice at eight in the evening is useful, not intrusive.
