SMS shortcode from SMSBOX — launch campaigns faster and receive replies

What is an SMS shortcode?

A shortcode is a shortened SMS number — typically 4 to 6 digits — that is far easier to remember than a regular mobile number and looks professional in your communication. SMSBOX has its own shared shortcode that is used as the sender for your campaigns, so recipients can simply reply.

Because this is a shared shortcode, the solution is available immediately in your account: you do not need to request a keyword or a number. That way you launch a campaign faster and receive replies straight away — ideal for opt-in, competitions, polls and two-way customer communication.

How does the shared shortcode work?

  1. Send your campaign — you send an SMS campaign with the shared shortcode as the sender. Nothing to request or register: the shortcode is available immediately in your account.
  2. Customers reply — recipients can reply directly to the shortcode. The short, recognizable number lowers the threshold to respond.
  3. Receive in real time — replies appear instantly in your SMSBOX dashboard and can be forwarded automatically to a URL (webhook), an email address or your own application via the API.
  4. Handle it two-way — you respond from the dashboard or programmatically via the API. That way you hold complete conversations: confirmations, customer service and opt-in flows.

Live faster, with two-way replies

Because you do not have to request a number or keyword, you launch campaigns faster. Your customers reach you through a short, recognizable number, and you respond straight away — manually from your dashboard or fully automated via the SMS Gateway API. That is full two-way communication.
