Frequently asked questions about Single Sign-On

Which methods can I use to sign in to SMSBOX?

Via Single Sign-On with Google Workspace, Microsoft Entra ID or your own identity provider (OpenID Connect/OIDC). Logging in with e-mail address and password also remains possible.

Do I still need to remember a separate password?

No, with SSO you log in via your familiar organisation account. A separate SMSBOX password is then not needed and your corporate security (incl. MFA) remains in charge.

How secure is Single Sign-On?

SSO uses the OAuth2/OIDC standards. SMSBOX only receives your identity, not your mailbox or files, and there is no separate SMSBOX password that can leak.

Can I link my existing SMSBOX account to SSO?

Yes, you link your provider once in your profile settings. After that you log in via SSO and all your data is retained.
