SMSBOX — Voice messages and automated calls

What are voice messages for?

A voice call gets through where an SMS is overlooked. Ideal for situations that require immediate attention.

Critical alerts

Server downtime, alarm systems, intrusion detection — a ringing phone is hard to ignore.

Appointment reminders

A personal reminder for appointments at the doctor, dentist or garage. Reduces no-shows.

Confirmations

Order or delivery confirmations that you want to be sure are actually heard.

Older audiences

Customers who do not use SMS or struggle with on-screen notifications are reached directly.

How does it work?

1

Compose the text

You write the message exactly as you want it to be spoken.

2

Text-to-speech

Our system converts the text into natural-sounding speech.

3

Start the call

The system automatically calls the number you provided.

4

Play the message

Once answered, the message is read out — repeatable on request.

What can it do?

Our voice service supports multilingual text-to-speech in a natural voice. You submit the text via the API or the dashboard, and we take care of the call and the delivery — right into voicemail if the recipient does not answer.

Frequently asked questions

We use modern text-to-speech engines with natural-sounding voices — no mechanical robot sound like in the past. The recipient hears a fluent reading of your text in the desired language.
The system detects voicemail and can leave the message on the recipient's voicemail. In the delivery report you see whether the call was answered by a person, was left on voicemail, or did not go through.

Yes. A common pattern is to first send an SMS, and if there is no response within X minutes, start a voice call. This is fully automatable via the API or via webhook callbacks on delivery reports.
