What is an SMS conversation and why is it more than a list?

Anyone who both sends and receives replies quickly hits a problem: separate messages in chronological order, in which nobody can see which reply belongs to what.

What a conversation view changes

All messages with the same person sit together, back and forth, as in an ordinary chat. Whoever takes over the case sees in five seconds where the exchange stands.

Why that matters in practice

For appointments and confirmations people reply "yes", "cannot make it" or "later". Without context that is unusable. With context it is immediately clear.

For teams

The difference is greatest when several colleagues use the same number. Without a shared overview somebody answers a second time to something already handled, or a question is left because everyone assumed somebody else had it.

Keep them

A conversation you can retrieve is also evidence of what was agreed. Make sure you can export it before you need it.
